Domestic Energy Performance Certificates
Domestic EPC’s are required for the sale or rent of a residential property. Infact your respecting Estate or Letting Agent legally needs that EPC Report so they can legally market your property and your conveyancer wont be able to ‘complete’ on the sale of the property without an EPC. Other than this aspect, an EPC should be used to compare current ratings of properties to see which properties are more energy efficient. An EPC will also highlight how you can save energy and money by installing improvement measures.
We’ll need to pop along for a pre-arranged site assessment at the property, assessing the type, age, size, structure, and levels of insulation of the property in order to identify current heat loss characteristics, and the potential for improvement. Heating, hot water, and lighting systems are identified in order to calculate cost and environmental impact of current systems, and the potential for energy savings.
